Thermodynamics of cosmological models with a variable matter equation of state

Abstract

We consider cosmological models with a self-interacting scalar field and a perfect fluid with a variable equation of state in spatially flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker space-times. The main purpose of the paper is a study of general thermodynamic properties of such models and their relationship with the dynamics of geometry.
